Restore old wallet with electrum style seed

Hi! I would like to ask for some help.

I have an old XCP cold wallet which I never used before (just sent the funds there). I only have the electrum style seed words. I can restore the wallet in electrum and verified the XCP balance on xchain.io. I tried to access the wallet using FreeWallet (Debian 10), but

  1. When I try to restore the wallet using the seed phrases (BIP39) nothing happens. After I click the OK button it just hangs there. Don’t freeze or anything just nothing happens.
  2. When I create a new wallet I can import private keys, but the wallet only imports the legacy address, not the SegWit one (XCP was sent to the SegWit one).

How should I proceed?
