Hi,
I'd like to issue loyalty points for my own health business in a crypto-currency framework. Would Counterparty be good for that? Is there such implementation describe somewhere?

I guess a lot depends on how you plan to run that program, how they would pay you, is that online or offline business, etc.


There are many approaches, but not every one is practical. For example if people pay for your service or product online, you would probably want to do everything online.
But if they pay in cash and in person and sometimes don't carry internet-connected devices with them, then you'd have to use some other way.

I for one would be really interested to hear how you'd like it to work. Perhaps there is another system you've used that you want to emulate and improve upon? Counterparty has been most developed at the protocol level and it would be interesting to build a tracer bullet all the way to a retail business use case.

This is health-based (naturopathy) business:
- appointments,
- workshops,
- products (ebay store).


I would like to create a reward for using my service: for getting appointment, or buying an item in my store, customer would be rewarded by some number of points/tokens. For those points one could be able to redeem some items or offset service fee for my consultancy.


I don't think proof-of-work crypto-currency would work.


I will be looking how counterparty projects work, hoping it would inspire me for some solution.
But would there be some other way?

This is a relatively simple task. All you need is 0.5 XCP and enough BTC for transaction fees. You can buy XCP on poloniex.com, bter.com or the decentralized exchange in Counterwallet (which is a bit more difficult). Then you can create an asset in http://counterwallet.co, e.g. "HEALTHTOKEN" (or whatever you would like to call it).

Now all you need is a way to send your customers these tokens. If you want to do it automatically, you'll have to look into automating it using counterpartyd.
