How to use Private Key to import BTC funds from external address to Counterwallet address?

##How to Import Funds from Bitcoin Address using private key (privkey)

  • Login to Counterwallet with Private Key from another address handy.
  • In the top left corner, go to Import Funds > Import (Sweep) Tokens from Another Address.
  • Enter Private Key and allow Counterwallet to issue a Send transaction from the address associated with the Private Key to your Counterwallet you selected. This Send transaction is done automatically.
  • You can then log off if you wish. It will take 3 confirmations for the transaction to be recognized by Counterwallet. The source address will retain a dust amount of BTC (0.000178).

NOTE: Blockchain info now has other types of wallets for which the import works differently and so do some other wallets. See here for additional information.

##Example: Importing Address Holdings from old-style Blockchain.info wallet

  • Login to your blockchain.info wallet and go to Import/Export

  • Make sure noone is watching your screen and in Import/Export menu on the left hand side pick Export Unencrypted. Make sure to select the Bitcoin-Qt format!

  • Copy the priv value - your Private Key for the address - to the clipboard.

  • Now log on to to Counterwallet click on Import Funds > From Another Address.

  • Paste the priv value (private key from your Blockchain.info address) under Private Key to Import.

In case after these steps nothing happens, repeat the two previous steps and wait patiently.

Notice how you can select which tokens to sweep. In our case the wallet had only one type (BTC), but if the address had multiple tokens you could - assuming you had enough BTC for multiple transactions - first sweep non-BTC tokens (each to a different Counterwallet address) and last sweep the remaining BTC.

  • After you click on Sweep, Counterwallet will make a transaction that will move its selected contents (in our example 0.04 BTC) to our Countewallet address labeled Savings.

  • You will receive a notification that the transaction has been broadcast and after 3 confirmations your address will receive the funds.

  • Approximately 20 minutes later (time depends on the Bitcoin network), the sweeped tokens will appear at the target address (in your Counterwallet).

What about get
The funds from Trezor wallet sent it by error and get it back to and xcp wallet How can inget the private key in trezor or transfer all the ingo to other wallet and take the key for sweep in the counterparty

Counterparty doesn’t support Trezor so I don’t know how to send from Trezor (or sweep from Trezor).

You’d have to check with Trezor community or support.

Maybe you can create a raw Bitcoin transaction with embedded XCP (assuming you have the private key from Trezor) and broadcast from Trezor. Watch out for change address and other troubles - if you find a way best to try on testnet first. (You can create a wallet using Counterwallet on testnet, then get some testnet BTC to it, run the Burn command to get XCP, then you can send that BTC to testnet address of Trezor).

About create send tx:

We now also have another sweep tool.
