Have been having issues accessing the wallet the service seems to be down and the coin daddy seems to have unknown status.?
Any news on what is going on?

Both seem to be up now.
I would suggest checking out counterwallet.io in the future (it will tell you if any counterwallet servers are down) or try using https://freewallet.io
