Alarmist article about the busy network

This week the dire predictions came to pass, as the network reached its capacity, causing transactions around the world to be massively delayed, and in some cases to fail completely. (Verge)

Transactions that didn’t pay a competitive price got delayed.
I don’t see how is that a problem.
That’s the way it should be because otherwise those who really need their transactions to happen can’t make it happen even if they want to pay more for a better QoS.
